After your order is delivered you will receive an invoice by mail, with a payment term of 30 days. Would you rather receive your invoice digitally by e-mail? Let us know!

Are you a new customer? Then before shipping we will check your credit rating. Then we've gotten that out of the way and we can do business immediately.

Do you want your products in home quickly? Whether you want to make a pick up or get a delivery, with the transport service of Portex Holland you will have your products in home, in no time!

What is the shipping time?

Standard big bags and asbestos bags are delivered in the Benelux within 1 working day -provided they are ordered before 14:00h -, the shipping time for Germany is 3 working days. Customised big bags have a shipping time of 6 to 14 weeks. contact us for the exact shipping time.

Do you want to pick up your order? That's possible! With your personal pick up number you can pick up your products from our warehouse residing at the Lokhorstweg 13a in Ermelo from Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 16:30 h at anytime.

Under what working conditions are the big bags produced?

Practically all big bags of Portex Holland are manufactured in factories in the Far East and produced completely following the strict SA8000 certification standard.

This international standard particularly has bearing on the working environment and conditions in the factories. In this: child labour, forced labour, health, safety, working times and reward are strictly enforced. That is doing business with a clear conscience!

 

What is UV-stabilised?

Because of the prolonged exposure to sunlight most plastics are broken down slowly.

The big bags or Portex Holland are crafted from UV-stabilised polypropylene, which ensures the bags are not compromised by exposure to sunlight. Ideal for inside and outside uses!

 

What are the safety instructions for handling big bags?

FIBC’s (flexible intermediate bulk containers) or big bags, can be used in many ways. Big bags are compact, safe and easily moved. It is important that you following the necessary safety instructions and tips when carrying, transporting, loading, unloading and stacking

LOADING AND UNLOADING OF BIG BAGS

-Make sure you have a stable surface before you start loading (on the ground or on a pallet for example)

-Use the loading mechanism, which is used to hang all four loops

-Before loading check – if necessary – if the unloading trunk is closed

-When filling, loading or unloading the big bags always check if anyone is under it

-Are you working with Type C, anti-static big bags? Ground first, then load!

-Never exceed the maximum load capacity (Safety Working Load)

-Always make sure the weight is distributed evenly

-When loading use the gravity of the loading system

-Would you like to dose your load? Use big bags with filling and dischargespout

MOVING BIG BAGS WITH A FORKLIFT

-Make sure you have a stable surface before you start loading (on the ground or on a pallet for example)

-Use the loading mechanism, which is used to hang all four loops

-Before loading check – if necessary – if the unloading trunk is closed

-When filling, loading or unloading the big bags always check if anyone is under it

-Are you working with Type C, anti-static big bags? Ground first, then load!

-Never exceed the maximum load capacity (Safety Working Load)

-Always make sure the weight is distributed evenly

-When loading use the gravity of the loading system

MOVING BIG BAGS WITH A FORKLIFT

-Before moving make sure that all slings are vertical (not turned)

-Use all lifting slings at the same time to distribute the weight

-Make sure the fork width or the forklift is adjusted accordingly

-Check your fork for sharp edges before lifting the big bag to protect it, so you are able to –transport the big bag without any damage

-Avoid sharp objects to prevent damage or accidents

-Keep the big bag horizontal and low to the ground

MOVING BIG BAGS WITH A CRANE

-Before moving make sure that all slings are vertical (nor turned)

-Check the crane hooks for sharp edges before you lift the big bag or use the safety hooks that were designed for this purpose

-Use all lifting slings at once to distribute the weight

TRANSPORTING, STACKING & STORAGE OF BIG BAGS

-Make sure the big bags are stable; in racks, on pallets or on the flat underground

-When stacking make sure that you follow the necessary instructions and use the suitable big bags. Preferably place the big bags between two or three walls to guarantee a maximum stability. Let one of our employees supply you with a safe advice!

-Store your big bags in a clean, covered and dry place to guarantee a maximum longevity
